At BMD Interior Woodworking, every Custom Kitchen Renewal starts from scratch in our shop. We build brand-new cabinet doors and drawer fronts — custom-sized, custom-finished, made from the species of wood you choose — and install them in place of the originals. You're not getting a cover-up. You're getting genuine custom cabinetry, built to millwork standards by a craftsman with 25+ years in the trade.

You'll meet with Ben, the owner and lead craftsman. He'll measure your kitchen, listen to what you're after, and walk you through what Custom Kitchen Renewal can (and can't) do for your space. The $129 consultation fee is credited back to your project if you move forward.
The Design
We'll bring you wood samples, finish options, and hardware choices, then build a clear, detailed scope so you know exactly what you're getting and what it costs. No surprises, no upsells, no pressure.
The Build
Your new doors, drawer fronts, and accents are built in our Spring Hill shop. While we're building, your kitchen stays fully usable.
The Install
When the new pieces are ready, our installation team handles the swap quickly and cleanly. Most kitchens are transformed in days — not the months a full remodel demands.

Ben May started in cabinet shops and architectural millwork before most cabinet refacing companies existed. He's spent more than two decades building libraries, kitchens, and built-ins for clients who care about how things are made — not just how they look on day one.
BMD Interior Woodworking has been his shop since 2015. Every project that leaves our doors has his name on it, and every kitchen we renew is held to the same standard as the high-end custom cabinetry that built our reputation.

Every project starts with a consultation in your home. Ben will measure your space, talk through what you're hoping for, and give you an honest answer on whether Custom Kitchen Renewal is the right fit.
The consultation is $129. If you move forward with the project, that fee is credited back in full — so the only homeowners who pay for it are the ones we don't end up working with. That's intentional. It keeps our calendar focused on serious projects, which is why we're able to give every client the attention they deserve.
We're typically booked 8–9 weeks out. The sooner you reach out, the sooner you're on the schedule.

Painting simply changes the color of your existing doors and drawer fronts. Our process goes much further. We replace the parts of the kitchen that experience the most wear with newly built custom doors and drawer fronts, then professionally refinish and transform the visible surfaces using cabinet grade sprayed finishes and detailed prep work. The result feels far more like a new kitchen than a repaint because, where it matters most, it is.
Most of the fabrication and preparation work happens off site before installation ever begins. That means your kitchen remains functional for the majority of the process, and the final installation is typically completed in a matter of days rather than weeks or months. Exact timelines vary depending on the size and complexity of the project.
Most Custom Kitchen Renewal projects fall between $8,000 and $12,000 — compared to $25,000 or more for a full remodel — depending on kitchen size, door style, finish selection, and the amount of custom modification involved. Every kitchen is different, so after your consultation we provide a clear fixed quote with a detailed scope of work and no hidden costs or vague allowances.
